My courses are ideal for anyone wanting to improve their photographic skills, from someone just starting out in photography to the experienced photographer who needs fresh inspiration or even those photographers who just want to enjoy the Spanish scenery. Tuition is on a one to one basis. They generally last three days but can be longer or shorter depending on your requirements.

Accommodation will be a 2 or 3 bed apartment on the Polaris World golf resort of Condado De Alhama. There is access to a communal pool and there is a good sized roof terrace on the 2 bedroom properties or patios on the ground floor. Golf if you are interested, it is the second best course in Europe. If you wish to make your own arrangements for accommodation or are already holidaying in the area, this is not a problem, I can travel to your location. (Within reason. This may incur a charge for petrol if it is of any great distance.)

Rental is on a self catering basis. Prices vary from €225 to €300 off peak to €300 to €450 between July and August, for a 2 bedroom 1st floor apartment with roof terrace. Or €300 off peak for a ground floor 3 bed apartment off peak to €450 for July and August. I can e mail photos of the accommodation on request. Cheaper accomodation may be available, contact me for the lowest prices.

I can provide a pick up service for students from Murcia Airport for an additional €80.00, or Alicante for €100. I can also take you wherever you need to go while you are here. I have a 7 seater VW Sharan available for hire but with driver provided.

Using a live model. I can book a model for you if you would like to hire one. The models fee will differ depending on experience. The models fee is paid by the student to the model on the day of hire. I will be able to get you a quote in advance. I have studio lighting available but as I work on my clients premises, I do not own a studio. However hire of a suitable location can be hired if desired, but location shooting is more desirable most of the year.

Spend time finding your way around photoshop. At the end of the day, we can put some of your images through photoshop. I will lend you a camera for some shots, just for this purpose, so that I know it will be compatible with my computer. Alternatively you can borrow one of my cameras if you don't have an SLR of your own.

Course fees are €10 per hour based on an 8 hour day, including lunch break. There is a registration fee of €1 and if you make use of the car hire, it is included in the price.

For example, learn about depth of field. See how in the photo of the cactus plant on the left, the cactus is in focus but the orange trees are not. On the picture on the right it is the orange trees in focus and the cactus plant that is out of focus. How can we get everything in focus? If you don't know, then this may just be what you need to improve your skills while having a good time in the sun.
In the bottom two pictures, I've looked for a natural frame for the orange trees and found it in a hole in a cactus plant's leaf.
The rule of thirds divides the viewfinder into a grid of 9 rectangles. A subject looks better when placed in a position where two of those lines intersect. Which do you think makes the most pleasing picture. It tasted nice too.
